Choose Your Niche!

The simple truth is that niche websites simply perform better than a general T-Shirt shop does. There are several reasons. One is that if you just have a general t-shirt shop, you are not only competing with Amazon, but you are seen as just another novelty store. On the other hand, if you focus on a specific niche, you can create all kinds of Print On Demand products for that niche, not just t-shirts.

By focusing on a specific topic, you and your store start to become recognized as the place to find products for that niche. If you want to serve more than just one niche, I strongly recommend that you actually have a different website for each niche. In other words, you might be interested in both rodeo and gardening, but you should create two separate websites if you want to sell products for both of those interests.

Here are a few thoughts of some niche markets to consider. Remember, your niche is not product centric, but interest-specific. You can certainly sell both beach towels and mouse tablets with your design on it to the same niche.
